The CITB Health and Safety awareness training course is ideal as preparation for the CITB Construction Skills Health, Safety & Environment test (CSCS) or as refresher training for operatives.
Due to the ever increasing demands for safety training within the Construction and Building Industry we are pleased to announce a number of CITB training courses now being offered in Liverpool. Delegates undertaking the course will be given a comprehensive introduction to health and safety within the workplace which includes incorporating current legislation, occupational health, manual handling and more.
As from the 1 July 2014 the CITB Health and Safety awareness training course can be taken as part of the qualification for a CSCS Labourers Card (Green Card) together with HS&E test.
CITB Health and Safety Awareness Training – Course Introduction:
Delegates sitting this qualification will gain a good understanding of health and safety in the workplace environment. Topics will include occupational health, current legislation, working at height, manual handling and more. This qualification must be held if you are applying for your CSCS Labourers Card (Green Card). CITB Health and Safety awareness – The first step for anyone considering a career in the construction sector is to apply for their green card. If you work in a labouring occupation you can take the Site Safety Plus route when applying for the new Green Labourer Card. You will need to provide evidence that you have achieved Level 1 Award Site Safety Plus Heath and Safety Awareness Course.

The course introduces the candidate to many aspects of the Health & Safety at Work and is intended help raise safety standards and awareness. The course will give construction operatives an awareness of essential health and safety issues and how health and safety affects their day to day role.

If you work in a labouring occupation you can take the Site Safety Plus route when applying for the new Green Labourer Card. You will need to provide evidence that you have achieved Level 1 Award Site Safety Plus Heath and Safety Awareness Course. You must also pass the CITB operatives Health, Safety and Environment test within two years prior of applying for a new card.
